Nurse Coaching is a specialty role in nursing that is transforming care delivery. In the new health care era, Nurse Coaches stand separate but equal with other health care collaborators as a non-diagnostic, professional partner. This book contains first-hand accounts of barriers that the author has experienced in attempting to make holistic health coaching interventions available to the public, as well as prospects and opportunities to overcome these barriers. Nurse Coaches pursue lifestyle factors with specific Nurse Coaching competencies to enhance their clients quality of life, as well as nursing self-development. Nurse Coaching is sustainable inasmuch as it is cost effective, quality care. Now it is time to clear the way for access to these services in independent community practices, contracts with private and federally-qualified health care homes, consultants for redesigning systems for human-centered care, and as community stakeholders for healthy communities.
